Volunteer Opportunity: Trail and Ranch Volunteers at Ed Laird Scout Camp

Position: Trail and Ranch Volunteer

Are you passionate about the outdoors, sustainable gardening, and inspiring youth? Join us as a Trail and Ranch Volunteer at the Ed Laird Scout Camp, where you’ll help maintain scenic trails and care for our Food Forest, creating a memorable experience for Scouts and other youth groups.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Trail and Ranch Volunteer, you may help with:

  • Trail Maintenance: Clearing brush, repairing paths, and maintaining safe and scenic hiking trails.
  • Food Forest Maintenance: Planting, watering, and caring for the Food Forest, assisting with sustainable gardening projects, and helping youth learn about eco-friendly practices.
  • Camp Support: Helping with special events, setting up activities, and ensuring a positive environment for campers.

Requirements:

  • Age: Must be 18 or older (family-friendly opportunities available with supervised minors).
  • Availability: Flexible hours, with weekend availability a plus.
  • Skills: Ideal for those with experience or interest in outdoor work, gardening, or working with youth.
