Every Youth Should Go To Camp
The Orange County Council’s Outdoor Adventures properties offer exciting and affordable camp programs designed to give every young person the opportunity to explore the outdoors, gain essential life skills, and create lasting memories—without financial barriers.
Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we provide Camperships to help ensure all youth can attend camp at any of our properties, including the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center, Newport Sea Base, Oso Lake Scout Camp, and Schoepe Scout Reservation at Lost Valley.
To apply for a “Summer Camp” campership, please complete the form and submit it by May 31, 2025, for the best chance of consideration. You can return the form in one of the following ways:

A Campership is a financial assistance award provided to help youth attend camp. It helps reduce or cover the cost of camp for families who may need financial support.
Campership applications are open to all youth participating in programs at any of the Orange County Council’s Outdoor Adventures properties, including the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center, Newport Sea Base, Oso Lake Scout Camp, and Schoepe Scout Reservation at Lost Valley.
Camperships are primarily used for summer camps and summer day camps. However, in rare instances, Camperships can requested for field trips and other programs offered at any of our Outdoor Adventures locations.
We recommend applying as early as possible, as funds are limited and awarded on a rolling basis.
No. Applying for a Campership does not affect your camp registration. We encourage you to register for camp as soon as possible while your Campership application is being reviewed.
