What is a Campership?
A campership is financial assistance designed to help cover camp fees for Scouts, their families, volunteers, or units who need support. These funds ensure that every youth has the opportunity to attend camp and that volunteers can access essential training.
How Much Can a Campership Cover?
In most cases, a campership will cover up to 50% of the camp or training fee. The Campership Committee believes that every Scout and Scouter should contribute a portion of their fees—either personally or through fundraising—aligning with the 9th point of the Scout Law: “A Scout is Thrifty.”
Campership Fund Guidelines
Campership funds are restricted by donor guidelines and can only be used for:
- Attendance at Orange County Council camps
- Specified training programs
We encourage Scouts and their families to apply early to take full advantage of this opportunity!
