Campmasters Needed

Location: Oso Lake Scout Camp, Orange County, CA

Role Description:

Campmasters are essential in providing an enjoyable and safe experience for Scouts and their families visiting Oso Lake Scout Camp. As a Campmaster, you will be on-site to assist with check-ins, provide information about camp facilities, help with safety protocols, and support camp activities as needed. Your guidance ensures campers and leaders have an unforgettable outdoor experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and check-in campers and Scout units upon arrival
  • Answer questions and provide guidance on camp facilities and activities
  • Ensure adherence to camp safety protocols
  • Support Scouts with campfires, hikes, fishing, archery, and other outdoor activities
  • Assist with closing duties and preparing the camp for future guests

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the outdoors and a commitment to the values of Scouting
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Some experience in outdoor skills or willingness to learn (prior Scouting experience is a plus!)
  • Must complete a background check and Youth Protection Training through Scouting America
