ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — Scouting America Orange County Council successfully raised more than $110,000 during last Friday’s annual Scouting Clays Shoot-Out, bringing together community leaders, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters for a day focused on fellowship, outdoor recreation, and investment in the future of Scouting.
Held at Raahauge’s Shooting Enterprises in Eastvale, the event welcomed teams from across Southern California for a full day of sporting clays competition and networking, all in support of local Scouting programs.
Funds raised through the event will directly support Orange County Council programs, including outdoor adventures, leadership development, camp operations, volunteer training, and initiatives that help make Scouting more accessible to youth and families throughout the region.
The council extended special thanks to event chairman David Smith, whose leadership helped guide this year’s successful event, as well as the volunteer planning committee, sponsors, donors, and attendees who contributed to the day.
“Events like Scouting Clays help ensure we can continue delivering strong programs to thousands of young people across Orange County,” said council leadership. “The support from our volunteers, sponsors, and community partners makes that possible.”
In recent years, Scouting Clays has continued to grow into one of the council’s signature fundraising and networking events. Beyond the competition itself, the event creates opportunities for business leaders, community supporters, and Scouting volunteers to connect while supporting youth leadership and development programs.
Orange County Council serves thousands of youth annually through Cub Scouting, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Exploring, Sea Scouts, and outdoor education programs across the region.
