Orange County Council is inviting youth members to help design the official 2026 Day of Service patch.

The Council Service/Day of Service Committee is hosting a patch design contest open to Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scouts. This year’s theme is “A Scout is Helpful,” giving Scouts a chance to show what service means through their own artwork.

Designs should be drawn on the contest form and submitted by Roundtable Thursday, August 13, 2026. The final patch will be about 3 to 3.5 inches in diameter and will include event text and a fleur-de-lis to meet Scouting America guidelines.

Per Scouting America regulations, AI may not be used in the patch design. The designer must also be a registered member of Orange County Council.

Submissions may be sent to Alexa Massari, District Executive, at Alexa.Massari@scouting.org, mailed to the Orange County Council office, or turned in to your District Executive.

This is a simple way for Scouts to take part in the 2026 Day of Service before the event even begins. A Scout-designed patch helps tell the story of service across Orange County.
