Commissioners from across Southern California are coming together—and this year, Orange County volunteers will have a rare opportunity to speak directly with Scouting America’s new National Commissioner.
As Scouting America’s top commissioner, the National Commissioner helps shape how commissioners nationwide support units, strengthen programs, and serve local leaders. This visit gives you an opportunity to hear directly from national leadership while sharing the questions, challenges, and ideas emerging from the units you serve.
Bring your experience. Bring your questions. Most importantly, bring Orange County’s perspective to the conversation.
Build your commissioner skills
The Southern California College of Commissioner Science is a full day of training, connection, and practical learning for commissioners at every experience level.
Seven in-person class periods will offer degree tracks, continuing education, and opportunities to exchange ideas with commissioners from across the region. You do not need to be a registered commissioner to attend; anyone interested in learning more about commissioner service is welcome.
Whether you are just getting started, pursuing a degree in Commissioner Science, or refreshing your skills, you can find useful tools to bring back to the packs, troops, crews, and ships you support.
