Registration is now open for the Second Annual We Change Lives Gala, hosted by Scouting America Orange County Council.

The gala returns after a strong first year. Last year’s event raised more than half a million dollars for Scouting programs across Orange County. This year, the council has set a goal of more than $700,000 and hopes to surpass $1 million.

The 2026 gala will also include honorees from the former Citizens of Character event. This brings two major council traditions into one signature evening.

Planning has already begun. The gala committee met for the first time on June 3 and is working toward one of the council’s most important events of the year.

This event also offers a different format from past fundraising dinners. Guests can expect a night focused on celebration, entertainment, dancing, and live auctions. The evening will recognize community leaders while creating an experience that feels lively and memorable.

Funds raised through the gala support camps, programs, leadership development, and membership efforts across Orange County. That includes work to make Scouting more accessible for youth and families.

Additional details, including this year’s honorees, will be announced soon. Supporters, volunteers, alumni, families, and community partners are encouraged to register and stay tuned for updates.

We would love for you to join us as we continue working together to change lives through Scouting.
