Orange County Council will host a council-wide communication, training, and planning conference on Saturday, August 15, 2026, bringing together volunteers and leaders from across the organization for a full day of collaboration and preparation.
The gathering is open to:
- Commissioners
- District, Division, and Council program leaders
- Advancement and camping volunteers
- Leadership training teams
- Order of the Arrow chapter, area, and lodge leadership
- District operations volunteers
- Property and support teams
The conference is designed to strengthen coordination across the council while helping leaders share ideas, align priorities, and prepare for the coming program year.
Organizers have structured the day around both large-group communication and focused breakout discussions. The schedule includes:
- 8:00 AM – Coffee Roundtable
- 9:00 AM–11:45 AM – Group Sessions
- 12:00 PM – Lunch and Council Overview
- 1:00 PM – Breakout Sessions
- 4:00 PM – Conference Concludes
Council leadership is encouraging broad participation, noting that strong communication between districts, committees, and program areas remains essential to delivering effective support to local units.
The event also provides volunteers an opportunity to connect with leaders from outside their immediate district or committee structure. In many cases, those conversations help identify shared challenges, successful ideas, and practical solutions that benefit units across the council.
Registration closes on August 8.
The registration fee is $10, which includes lunch and conference materials.
